Rovers have been drawn away to Blackpool in the second round of the Lancashire FA Senior Cup.
The game will take place on Wednesday 24th October, with both parties agreeing that the tie will be played at the Rovers' Senior Training Centre base in Brockhall Village, with kick-off scheduled for 12pm.
Rovers secured a bye in the first round against Preston North End due to our opponents advising us that they were unable to select a team that would meet regulations.
Blackpool sneaked past Wigan Athletic in the last round, winning 2-1 against the Latics thanks to goals from Christoffer Mafoumbi and Joe Dodoo.
The game will see a return to Brockhall for former Rovers youth chief and assistant manager Terry McPhillips, who is now in charge of the Tangerines following Gary Bowyer's departure from Bloomfield Road earlier in the season.
In the event of the scores being level at the end of 90 minutes, extra-time will not be played, and the winner of the tie will be determined by penalties.
Rovers have reached the semi-final stage in each of the last two seasons, suffering penalty shoot-out defeats to Fleetwood and, most recently, Bury.
Supporters are welcome to attend.
