Elliott Bennett says he looks forward to pulling on the shirt every time he's picked in the matchday squad following his 300th career appearance on Saturday at Bolton Wanderers.
The 29-year-old played his part in the narrow victory against the Trotters, playing as a winger to start before spending the second half in an unfamiliar left wing back role.
And after appearing for the 300th time, the former Wolves, Crewe, Brighton, Norwich and Bristol City man says the years - and games - have flown by.
“I can’t believe it’s been 300 and how fast the time has gone. I still feel 21 even though I’m not anymore," the number 31 said to iFollow Rovers.
“It’s a nice milestone but I want many more and to soon reach the next one.
“Anytime I get the chance to cross the white line and put on the shirt of the club I’m representing to give my all for the club and the supporters, I relish that opportunity.
“I’m looking forward to keep adding to the tally. I remember I was a bag of nerves at the start. I’d doubt myself when I was younger. I’d doubt whether I was up to the job, but now I really do look forward to every single game I play."
