Rovers defenders Darragh Lenihan and Derrick Williams have both been selected in the Republic of Ireland squad for their upcoming UEFA Nations League group games.
Initially included in a provisional 32-man list, the duo have now both been named in the final squad after helping Rovers secure a 1-0 victory over local rivals Bolton Wanderers at the weekend.
Martin O’Neill’s side face Denmark in Dublin on Saturday (October 13th), before hosting Wales in the Irish capital three days later.
Both players will be hoping to add to the solitary caps they collected in the summer, with Williams making his Ireland debut against France at the end of May and Lenihan making his senior bow against the USA in early June.
Meanwhile, Rovers youngster Jack Vale has been included in the Wales Under-19 squad for their international match against Poland in Bangor on Monday October 15th.
