Bradley Dack's ability to be in the right place at the right time is no accident, according to team-mate Elliott Bennett.
Dack made it 10 goals for the season with a late equaliser against Rotherham United on Saturday to make it three games unbeaten for Rovers heading into the international break.
And Bennett believes the playmaker has similar attributes to a certain Chelsea and England legend from yesteryear.
“It’s not by accident that he scores the goals he does. He gets himself into those positions," Bennett told iFollow Rovers after the clash against the Millers.
"People like that are special players and we’re thankful Dacky is at this club.
“You can’t work on that movement. It’s natural. I’m not in any way comparing Dacky’s career to Frank Lampard’s, but they both had and have that natural movement.
“That type of player is key to any team. Bradley gets in there and has the quality to finish the chances."
There has been speculation surrounding Dack almost ever since he arrived at Ewood Park in the summer of 2017 from Gillingham.
And whilst the 24-year-old openly admits he's extremely happy at Rovers, Bennett is also keen to keep his team-mate and friend around in East Lancashire.
“It’s not going to be a cheap deal for any club that wants him. The gaffer unearthed Dacky for a fee of something like £750,000," Bennett added.
“He’s a fantastic player, the lads, fans and staff all love him and it’s great to have him around the place.
“He’s a good human being and good luck to anyone trying to prise him away from the gaffer!
“You need to keep your best players and Bradley is certainly one of them. We have others as well and have a lot of quality in the squad."
