Rovers Ladies Development Team have been handed a lifeline in their quest to win the FA Women’s National League Reserve Cup, with the news that they are back in the competition.
Rovers were defeated by Sheffield United Women Reserves in the last round, but following disciplinary action against the Blades, it is Rovers who will progress in the competition.
The Development side will now face West Bromwich Albion at home in the next round.
The tie will be played on Sunday 18th November at Accrington and Rossendale College.
Ellie Cash’s team are also at home in the league this Sunday, when they host Huddersfield Town’s Development side, kick off 2pm.
They come into the game in fine form, having won their last two league fixtures, scoring 16 and conceding none.
A victory would see Rovers leapfrog the visitors and potentially rise to the top of the Reserve Division table.
