Ryan Nyambe says he's "in a good place" after returning from injury, and adds that he can't wait to play in front of a sold out Rovers away following at Preston North End on Saturday.

After missing the last few weeks with a hamstring injury picked up against Nottingham Forest at Ewood Park, Nyambe returned to the team from the bench against Rotherham last time out.

The 20-year-old made an instant impact down the right flank and is now set for a first start in almost two months when Tony Mowbray takes his side to Deepdale on Saturday.

“I feel very good and I’m in a good place at the moment. I was really frustrated to be out injured and I was on the bench but eager to come on against Rotherham," Ryan said ahead of the short trip to our near neighbours.

“There’s a fight for places throughout the team. The squad is getting back together after injuries and the gaffer will have a headache.
“We’re doing well, but we need to kick on. After the injury, I had to get myself back together and fight to get back.
“I hate being out and not playing. When you are watching though you can learn the game still and that’s what I did during that time out.
“We have a big game to come on Saturday, especially with all the supporters. Every game is a big one but this one in particular, with our brilliant support, it’ll be huge.
“The Championship is a big step up and I still have learning to do, but I feel a better player since I last played in the division. I think that’s down to the amount of games I’ve played."
