Rovers defender Darragh Lenihan will be hoping to feature for Ireland when they take on Denmark in Aarhus this evening.

Having impressed at club level, the centre-back was handed a first-ever start for his country in last week's friendly against Northern Ireland, keeping a clean sheet in an eventual goalless draw.

Martin O'Neill's men finish their UEFA Nations League campaign against Denmark tonight, knowing their relegation from Group B4 has already been confirmed.

Ireland have picked up just one point from three matches so far - courtesy of a draw in the reverse fixture - and will therefore play in League C when the competition returns in 2022.

After the game, Lenihan will return to East Lancashire to join preparations for Saturday's Championship fixture against Preston North End.

Denmark v Ireland is live on Sky Sports, with coverage starting at 7:30pm. Good luck, Darragh!
