Danny's revenge mission...

“It was disappointing last season that Wigan pipped us to the league, but credit to them, they had a great season, much like ourselves"

Danny Graham says he's hoping to help Rovers get back on track at Wigan Athletic on Wednesday when the two sides meet at the DW Stadium.

The two clubs had a good battle last term, and ultimately both earned promotion back to the Championship at the first time of asking.

But Danny says the fact Rovers didn't win the league still irks him a little and he's eager for a bit of revenge when the two sides meet in midweek.

Wigan won the title by finishing two points ahead of Rovers, with it being decided on the final game of the 2017-18 season.

By the time the two sides meet on Wednesday though, Rovers will be five points and six places above the Latics, and Graham is eager to pull further clear of our near neighbours come 10pm.

“It was disappointing last season that Wigan pipped us to the league, but credit to them, they had a great season, much like ourselves," DG said to iFollow Rovers ahead of the game.

“After our defeat at Preston on Saturday, we really want to respond and get a positive result before heading into a home game next week.

“We want to produce better than we showed at Preston and the lads are already talking about putting things right on Wednesday."
