Elliott Bennett admits he's thrilled to see Ben Brereton really get his feet under the table at Rovers after playing his part in the last two games.
Brereton, who signed from Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window, won a penalty against QPR earlier this month, with Bradley Dack firing home fromt he spot to win the game for the hosts.
And the same duo combined to earn a point for Rovers in the dramatic 1-1 draw against Rotherham United at the weekend at Ewood.
The teenager's cameos from the bench have been impressive, and Bennett believes it won't be long until the loanee gets the nod from the start.
“Big Ben came on and got an assist and I’m delighted for him," Bennett said to iFollow after the draw against the Millers.
“When you sign for a new club you need things to go for you. Being a forward, that’s goals. But at this moment he’s coming off the bench and making a real impact.
“He won the penalty against QPR last week, got the assist against Rotherham and is helping the team.
“It’s great for him and if he keeps pushing and working hard then the gaffer will give him the chance of starting."
