This season, we've introduced a new feature, bringing Rovers fans that bit closer to members of the current first-team squad.
The idea is simple: 26 questions, one for each letter of the alphabet, with subjects ranging from the players' favourite holiday destinations to the strangest things they've ever seen.
Corry Evans is next to step up, as he discusses Kermit the Frog, turning into Harry Redknapp, missing school and why he can’t own a pet!
A – AWAY -What is your favourite away ground that you've played at?
Where’s good? Leeds is a good away ground. Especially when it’s pretty full. It always adds to the atmosphere.
B – BANTER – Who's got the best banter in the squad?
We’ve got a few. There’s lots of banter flying around the dressing room on a daily basis. I’d say Charlie Mulgrew’s banter is right up there. He’s quite witty. He tells lots of stories but adds arms and legs as well! They are mainly funny stories about old clubs and old players that he’s come across.
C – CLUB – What football team do you support?
I’m a Manchester United fan. I grew up supporting them and still look out for their results.
D – DINING – What would be your last three-course meal?
I’d go for some warm breads with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for starters. I’d have a big fillet steak with chips and peppercorn sauce for the main. I’d finish it off with something like a warm chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. Add a bottle of beer or a coke on the side as well.
E – EVENINGS – A quiet night in or a night out with the lads? Why?
I like getting out. With three young children it’s nice to make the most of some time away. Whether that be with the missus or the lads I’m not too fussed. I’ve covered myself well here in case the missus reads this!
F – FOREIGN – What's your favourite holiday destination and why?
Las Vegas with the lads is right up there. I usually go to Portugal with the missus and the kids as well. It’s easy and you know what you’re getting.
G – GAME – What's been your favourite football game you've ever played in?
This one’s an easy one. It would have to be when we beat Ukraine 2-0 in the Euros in 2016. The game got called off for five minutes due to the hail, the boots were soaking wet but we went on to win 2-0. That was a very special game for me with Northern Ireland.
H – HOBBIES – What do you like to get up to away from football?
I’m normally busy with the kids. They have activities or need picking up from school. I like golf but I get bored quite easily. I’d only play in the summer as well.
I – IDOL – Who was your favourite footballer as a youngster and why?
I grew up watching United in the 90s and they have Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, David Beckham, Roy Keane and all of them were brilliant. I loved watching Zinedine Zidane as a kid and was lucky enough to see him play against Valencia at the Bernabeu. I ended up getting his shirt from the club shop.
J – JOBS – Have you had any other jobs aside from playing football?
No, I went straight into football from when I left school. If I wasn’t a footballer then I genuinely have no idea what I’d do. I had no other interests in school as football was all I ever wanted.
K – KID – What were you like as a young boy?
I’d say I was pretty quiet. I just got my head down and got on with things. I wasn’t naughty and just wanted to play football. I did okay in my GCSEs and I think I ended up getting 12 or 13 A-C grades. I have a BTEC in Business as well. I did decent enough.
L – LOATH – What annoys you the most and why?
Traffic does my head in. I travel in for training and when I hit traffic it could easily add an hour or two to a journey.
M – MUSIC – What sort of music are you into and what's your favourite-ever tune?
My music taste is quite widespread. I like Elvis and Frank Sinatra, dance music, Mumford and Sons, Snow Patrol. I like a bit of everything. I’d say my favourite tune would be Snow Patrol – Chasing Cars or Snow Patrol – Open Your Eyes.
N – NICKNAME – What's the best nickname you've come across in your footballing career?
There’s a mate of mine who I played with at Hull City and at Manchester United who got the name Kermit as he looked like Kermit the Frog. It’s James Chester and I think he embraces it as I think he has Kermit the Frog on his shinpads as well! I used to get called Elf because of my ears. That’s quite well known, that one. We don’t have any at our club to speak of. Craig Conway is named Bull because he’s an angry little man. Charlie Mulgrew looks like Marv from Home Alone and he gets that here and there. Make sure you get a picture in the programme as well for that one!
O – OPTIMISM – What would you like to achieve in your career?
I want to play in the Premier League again and I hope that’s with Blackburn. You should always aim for the top. That would be something special.
P – PETS – Do you have any pets?
I’m actually allergic to dogs and cats. I did have a dog for a couple of years because it was a non-allergic one, but when the kids came along I gave it to my sister-in-law as she had more time for it. She’s in a better place!
Q – QUALITY – Who's the best player you've ever played with or against and why?
I played against Miralem Pjanic the other week when I played for Northern Ireland against Bosnia and he was unbelievable. You couldn’t get the ball of him and he made it look effortless. He seemed to be two steps ahead every time I went near him.
R – RAPID – Who's the quickest player you've played with or against?
Josh King was lightning when he was here. In our team now we have Nyambe and Rothwell who are very quick. Joe just glides past people and his stats are right up there as well.
S – STRANGE – What's the strangest thing you've seen in your life?
I’ve seen lots of strange things. Who in the squad could I get a nibble out of?! Not that this is strange as I know a lot of people deal with this sort of thing, but Jacob Davenport has OCD. I’ve never seen it in the changing room before. In Jacob’s locker everything is pristine. He has everything perfect, the towels folded, everything is neat and hanging up. Sometimes for a bit of banter the lads walk by and ruffle things up. You’d walk by again later and everything has been fixed up to how he left it! Go for that!
T – TELEVISION – What do you like to watch on the TV and why?
I’m into box sets like Entourage. Anything on Netflix I’ll give a go.
U – UNKNOWN – Tell us something that people don't know about you.
What people don’t know about me is that I only did four years in high school instead of five. I skipped year eight. I went straight from year seven to year nine. In Belfast the year starts in July and I was born in July. But when I moved to England I was meant to go into year eight but as the term starts from September I had to move up. I spent about two weeks in year eight in the end!
V – VIDEO GAMES – Do you own a games console and if so how often do you play it?
I used to own a PS4 and play Call of Duty and FIFA. That’s not the case anymore because of the kids, but I play a bit of Football Manager to help pass the time on the away trips. I mix it up on there. I like to chop and change and I’m a bit of a wheeler and dealer. The transfer window is when I come alive!
W – WORLD – Where would you most like to visit in your life?
I’ve actually been to a few countries in my life all over the world. I’ve never been to Australia or Thailand so I wouldn’t mind travelling in one of those places. I’d have to leave the kids at home though!
X – XYLOPHONE – Can you play any musical instruments?
Unfortunately not. I have a guitar in the house but I’ve never had any lessons. I need someone to give me lessons, so if anyone is out there then give me a shout!
Y – YIKES – Do you have a fear of anything?
I hate scary films. Whenever I see something like Paranormal Activity I can maybe watch during the day but not when I am alone at night. I was watching The Haunting of Hill House recently and after a couple of episodes the missus went on holiday and completed it. She asked if I’d watched it but there was no chance I was finishing that on my own! I peek through my hands when I know something’s coming.
Z – ZODIAC – What's your star sign?
I’m a Leo.
