Senator lifted the Orphanage Cup for the second time in three years with an emphatic 8-1 victory over WEC in the final at Ewood Park.

Watched by a crowd of over 400, the final proved to be an entertaining encounter between the two largest teams participating in the competition.

Leading 2-0 at half-time, Senator produced a dominant second-half display to reclaim the trophy they last won in 2016.

Orphanage Cup secretary, Tom Tatham, said: “On behalf of the Orphanage Cup Committee, I would like to say a huge thank you to Blackburn Rovers for allowing the final of this exceptionally well known local competition to be played here at Ewood Park and hope that, circumstances allowing, we can return again next year.”
