Rovers are pleased to confirm the addition of a fourth pre-season friendly to the club’s summer calendar.
Manager Tony Mowbray will take his team to Lincoln City’s Sincil Bank Stadium on Sunday July 22nd, kick-off 3pm, as preparations ahead of Rovers’ return to the Championship continue.
The Imps enjoyed a superb 2017-18 season, winning the Checkatrade Trophy, whilst also finishing seventh in League Two, only to miss out on a return trip to Wembley following a 3-1 aggregate play-off defeat to Exeter City.
The club kept a close eye on Lincoln’s progress during the second half of the season, following defender Scott Wharton’s loan move to Sincil Bank in January.
The 20-year-old made 14 league appearances for Danny Cowley’s side, scoring twice, and started the goalless draw against Exeter in the first leg of the play-offs.
Rovers kick-off their pre-season schedule away to Scottish side Hibs on Sunday July 8th, before taking on Port Vale at Vale Park on Saturday July 14th.
The game against Lincoln City takes place on July 22nd, before Rovers play their final friendly away to Accrington Stanley on Saturday July 28th.
