Rovers captain Charlie Mulgrew has been nominated for the Bristol Street Motors Player of the Month award for April.

In a month where he scored the winning goal to seal promotion at Doncaster Rovers, Charlie also found the net at Bristol Rovers from the penalty spot.

The skipper played in all seven of our April games, with Rovers winning four and drawing two of those matches. Mulgrew also oversaw three clean sheets in that time.

This is the second time in the season that Charlie has been nominated for a Bristol Street Motors prize having been nominated for the September award.

Our leader is up against Charlton Athletic stopper Ben Amos, Blackpool's ex-Rovers Nathan Delfouneso, Wigan duo Will Grigg and Michael Jacobs and Southend United striker Theo Robinson, for the gong.

Good luck, skipper!
