Rovers playmaker Jack Payne says he won't rule out a return to the club, admitting his future, be it short or long-term will be sorted in the summer.
After signing in the January transfer window, Payne weighed in with plenty of assists in Rovers colours before signing off his spell with a goal against old club Oxford on the final day of the season.
In fact, his first in Rovers colours meant he followed up scoring for Oxford against Rovers in the reverse fixture in the season with a goal for the Blues against the U's, both in the same season.
So, what's happening with the 23-year-old ahead of next season? Will we see him back at Ewood Park?
“I’ve no idea what my future holds, but I’ve said it loads of times before that I love playing here," Jack told iFollow Rovers.
“We will sit down in the summer and see what Huddersfield want to do. I’m not 100% on what's set to happen but we’ll see what Huddersfield think and the view of Blackburn and take things from there.
“I love it here but my only thought at the moment is looking back on a memorable season and I can look to sort my future out in the summer."
And looking back, Jack admits he's had a brilliant time at Ewood and confessed he felt right at home from the first say he stepped into the club.
“I’ve felt so comfortable in the changing room since being here. It’s a tight knit group here and all the lads helped me settle in straight away," he reflected.
“I felt like I settled in quickly and I’ve never felt like a loan player since being here at Rovers.
“It’s been a great opportunity to play here for this club and I feel we have more than enough in the changing room to give the Championship a good go next season, whether I am here or not."
