Rovers defenders Darragh Lenihan and Derrick Williams have been named in the Republic of Ireland Squad ahead of two upcoming friendlies.

The Rovers duo are part of Martin O'Neill's group to face France in Paris on Monday 28th May and the USA in Dublin on Saturday, 2nd June 2018.*

Lenihan and Williams both represented their country for the first time last weekend, coming up against a Celtic XI during Scott Brown's testimonial, which was played in front of around 55,000 fans at Celtic Park and finished 2-2.

The news comes following a succesful season at club level, which saw both players involved in Rovers' promotion to the Sky Bet Championship.

We'd like to congratulate both Darragh and Derrick on being called up and will continue to provide updates on their progress as the duo look to get a first senior international cap.

Full squad to be announced on Thursday 24th May.
