Craig Conway wants to stay at Rovers, but says his contract situation will have to be sorted after the promotion celebrations.
Out of contract this summer, Conway's been a fans favourite ever since arriving from Cardiff City in 2014 and has appeared 174 times in Rovers colours.
But injuries have hampered the Scot this season, which is something that's been irritating to the 33-year-old.
“We got promoted and that’s all that matters," he began. "When I have been fit to play I’ve really enjoyed it, I’m not going to bang on about the injuries that I’ve had this season as the team goal is far more important than that.
“My current injury isn’t near as bad as what we first feared and it’s something we need to deal with.
“I don’t know what’s happening with my contract at the moment. I’m speaking to the club but I can’t say too much about it.
“We’ll see what the future holds but if I have played my final game for the club then it’s a fantastic way to bow out in getting promoted.
“I’ve enjoyed my time here so much and hopefully I can stay longer. But it’s not the time to speak about that, it’s about revelling in promotion and enjoying it."
