Like Charlie Mulgrew, another Rovers player will be aiming to topple a couple of South American opponents this week as Corry Evans and Northern Ireland play two World Cup teams.
Evans, who was a regular for Rovers at the back end of the season, will hope to take to the field when Northern Ireland take on Panama on Tuesday 29th May at Estadio Rommel Fernandez, before the Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica plays host on Sunday 3rd June for the final game of the two.
A key man for Michael O’Neill’s side, Evans will be hoping to earn his 46th and 47th caps for his country over this week.
Kick-off against Panama - who of course will play England in the group stages of the World Cup, is 2am GMT, whilst the Costa Rica clash takes place at 7pm GMT.
Corry will be hoping to lineup alongside brother Jonny, who has also been named in the squad.
