Charlie Mulgrew believes Rovers can go into next season full of confidence and looking to "give it a good go" in the 2018-19 campaign.
Mulgrew's been a key figure for Rovers this term, showing leadership, set piece and goal qualities throughout the season, with his form being rewarded with the Scotland captaincy.
It's been a fantastic season for everyone at the club, but Charlie reflects on the feeling he had this time last year and the contrasting emotions.
“A year or so ago was a real down day which lasted for a few weeks," the skipper said. "We moved on, put the work in early in pre-season, had the same focus and managed to get us back.
“We were part of a team that got relegated - a few of the boys are still here - and we felt it was our duty to get the club back where we belong.
“We’ve done that now but we’re straight away looking to next season and looking to improve and give it a good go."
So how does Charlie analyse the league and what challenge does the Championship pose to Rovers next term?
“It’s a big league, a difficult league when you see the teams in it and the teams coming down who will spend money," Mulgrew added. "But we’re looking up rather than down.
“We’ll look to improve, get one or two additions in and get better, get fitter ahead of what will be a tough campaign."
