Rovers hitman Adam Armstrong is hoping to reach goal number 10 today when Oxford United visit a packed Ewood Park today.

The striker has been a revelation since arriving in January on loan from Newcastle United, and coming into the final game of the season, has nine strikes to his name in the blue and white.

He hasn't scored in his last six games, but that doesn't faze the 21-year-old, who is hoping to finish the season with double figures come the end of this afternoon's game.

“I’ve loved it here," the striker told iFollow Rovers ahead of today's clash. "The lads have been spot on with me, as have the gaffer and his staff.

"I was always confident I’d get goals and it would be nice to get one on Saturday to hit double figures in goals. After all, 10 always looks better than nine on paper!

“Whatever happens, it’s sure to be a great day, especially for the fans."

So what of his nine goals so far stand out to the Geordie? He has his favourites, so we'll let him do the talking.

“I look back on my goals and the two at Pompey stand out because we really needed the points and then the two at MK Dons because it was so close to the end of the season."
