Goalkeeper David Raya says Rovers' focus only has to be winning each and every game as it comes around to keep the pressure on the teams around us.
Another clean sheet pushed the Spanish stopper to the top of the Golden Glove standings with 14 on a fairly comfortable night against Bradford on Thursday evening.
A 2-0 win sealed another three points for the Tony Mowbray's promotion chasers and David says all we can do is keep winning the matches as they come around, with just eight games remaining this term.
“We keep putting the pressure on the teams around us with the wins and we need that to continue," he said to iFollow Rovers straight after the game.
“You have a look at the table and the games they have to play but now it’s all about the last push, focussing on ourselves and making sure we get the job done.
“It’s nice to put the pressure on but our focus is on getting our job done as soon as possible. If we keep winning our games then we’ll be promoted to the Championship at the end of the season."
Although Rovers hadn't played in 19 days prior to the game against the Bantams, 22-year-old Raya believes that rest couldn't have come at a better time for the squad.
Sharp and energetic throughout, the Rovers number one says it's just about being consistent from here on in.
“We hadn’t played in a long time [before taking on Bradford] but it was nice for us to have that rest before heading into a crucial part of the season," he concluded.
Don't forget that Rovers are back in action on Easter Monday when we head down to Milton Keynes Dons in Sky Bet League One. Tickets remain available for the clash against Dan Micciche's men and can be purchased by clicking here.
