Manager Tony Mowbray says the spirit in his Rovers camp is second to none, ahead of a crucial final 11 games of the season.
A vintage away performance resulted in a 3-0 victory in south London against AFC Wimbledon, with Bradley Dack's brace and Elliott Bennett's first strike of the season sealing a crucial three points.
And after the game, Tony hailed his side's character and admitted it was about time Bennett found the back of the net!
“It’s been a long time coming, to be honest, but he’s got that in his locker," the boss said. "I was going to leave him central and put Corry tucked in on the left, but I’ve seen Elliott do at the end of last season.
"He can step in on his right foot and he’s got an unbelievable strike – he showed that again today. It’s a good time for him to get back to scoring ways because we know he can do that; I’m delighted he got a goal on Tuesday."
“Bradley’s been ill and we managed to get a win without him at Walsall, but he’s very important to the team. I saw him joking about Danny Graham being a flying winger, the way he went past the full-back for Bradley’s second!
"The camaraderie in this group is really strong and spirits are high; they’re working hard for each other and we’re getting the rewards.”
