Rovers boss Tony Mowbray has made one change from the side that comprehensively beat AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday for the visit of Wigan to Ewood Park.
Returning to the side is Corry Evans, in place of Jack Payne, who drops to the bench for the game against the Latics.
There is a return to the Rovers squad for Craig Conway, who has missed the last couple of games through a troublesome hamstring injury.
Striker Dominic Samuel remains sidelined having missed out on the trip to Wimbledon on Tuesday evening.
Opponents Wigan have made six changes to the short trip to East Lancashire, with Nathan Byrne coming in for Donervan Daniels at right back, Callum Elder for Reece James at left back.
Boss Paul Cook has also brought Gavin Massey in for Jamie Walker on the wing, whilst former Manchester United player Nick Powell returns from injury in place of Ryan Colclough and Will Grigg starts instead of the benched James Vaughan.
Skipper Sam Morsy has also returned from suspension and is back in the XI in place of Jay Fulton.
Kick-off at Ewood Park is at 12pm.
