It was a day to forget for the young Rovers, who suffered a big defeat against Manchester United U18s at Carrington Training Ground.
Rovers included trialist Nathan Moore in the lineup after he linked up with Billy Barr's side from Everton earlier in the week and he slotted straight into the defence.
Other than the addition of Moore, it was another youthful looking side, with schoolboy James Connolly starting the game.
Things didn't start well for Barr's boys, with Nichan Burkart giving the hosts the lead after just 20 minutes in, before James Garner doubled the advantage 10 minutes later with an easy tap in.
It was always going to be a tough game for the visitors considering United had previously scored six goals in four previous home games, but the Rovers troops got to half time 2-0 down.
The next goal was going to be key in the game and unfortunately for Barr and Rovers it was United who got it, with Mason Greenwood adding to the tally just four minutes after the break.
The home side's tails were up and they searched for more, with Dylan Levitt scoring midway through the half to make it four.
Substitute D'Mani Mellor was one of three United changes on the hour mark and he scored just seven minutes after entering the action to complete the rout for a rampant United.
Rovers are next in action on Saturday 24th March when they hit the road again, this time to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers.
