Following progression in the Premier League Cup last time out, Damien Johnson's Development Squad head to Stoke City on Saturday with the aim of cementing their place at the top of Premier League 2.

Johnson is likely to still be without Joe Rankin-Costello, who remains injured, whilst Dan Butterworth is another expected to not be included due to injury.

Lewis Travis' availability for the first team means he's unlikely to play a part in the Potteries, with Tony Mowbray's side hosting Wigan just over 24 hours later.

Fellow midfielder Willem Tomlinson is another who could be in contention, again depending on Mowbray's squad selection for Sunday.

Opponents Stoke come into the game on the back of two wins from their last two games, but haven't played domestically since February 17th, so may have to shake off a little rustiness.

The Potters currently sit two places above bottom side West Brom, with 16 points from 16 games, under the guidance of former Burnley player Wade Elliott.

Tyrese Campbell, along with Rovers skipper Lewis Hardcastle is in the running for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for February and is expected to feature for the hosts, whose first team are playing at Southampton the same day.

After scoring a hat-trick against Fulham in the last outing, 18-year-old Campbell was rewarded with a place on the bench in the Premier League game at Leicester last week, under the stewardship of former Rovers boss Paul Lambert.

The game at Stoke's Bet365 Stadium kicks off at 2pm. Entry costs £2 for adults and £1 for concessions.
