Damien Johnson's Development Squad will travel to Aston Villa in the Premier League Cup after the draw for the last 16 stage was made this morning.

Rovers finished top of Group B following a 0-0 draw against second placed Southampton in the final game of the group stages.

Johnson's side have already won at Villa in Premier League 2 this term, after goals from Callum Wright, Lewis Mansell and Dan Butterworth sealed the win in November.

But under Kevin McDonald, Villa have had a good campaign and sit just a place and a point behind Rovers in second place in the table, albeit Rovers have a game in hand.

They have yet to draw this term having won 11 and lost six of their 17 matches in Premier League 2.

If the teams are level after 90 minutes, they will be decided by extra-time and then penalties if there is still no winner.

The tie will be played between Thursday 15th March-Sunday 18th March. A date and time for the clash will be announced in due course.
