Rovers are delighted to announce that Jack Vale - one of the club's hottest young prospects - has signed his first professional contract.
The 17-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a two-and-a-half-year deal, which will keep him at Ewood Park until the summer of 2020.
Vale was one of the stars of this season's FA Youth Cup campaign, which saw Rovers reach the last eight.
The attacking midfielder bagged a brilliant hat-trick in Rovers' 5-1 victory over Nottingham Forest in the fifth round, before netting a stunning strike in the quarter-final defeat to Blackpool.
The first year scholar, who only turned 17 a fortnight ago, has also represented Rovers' Under-23s this season, having made his debut for Damien Johnson's side in the 4-0 victory over Fulham back in September.
The exciting young forward, who will join up with the Wales Under-19 squad tomorrow ahead of two international friendly matches against Croatia next week, looks set for a bright future for both club and country.
Congratulations Jack, we wish you well!
