Rovers are delighted to announce that striker Adam Armstrong has won the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month award for February.
Armstrong played a key role in the memorable month, bringing pace and directness to the Rovers attack, which resulted in him scoring four goals and claiming two assists.
The on-loan striker opened his account for the club with a goal on his 21st birthday in the 2-2 draw at home to Oldham and then demonstrated the confidence of youth with two cool finishes in the 2-1 victory at Portsmouth.
He was on the scoresheet again in the 2-0 victory over Bury, before setting up goals for Danny Graham and Elliott Bennett in the away wins over Walsall and Wimbledon.
The 21-year-old fought off the challenge from Plymouth Argyle attacker Ruben Lameiras, Rotherham winger Joe Newell and Southend full-back Jason Demetriou for the top player prize.
