Adam bang in form and feeling great

Adam Armstrong looked an astute signing on paper from Tony Mowbray back in January, and he's proved to be exactly that in reality too!

The last time he linked up with Mowbray came at Coventry City a couple of years ago, scoring 20 goals for the Sky Blues in his season-long loan stint at the Ricoh Arena.

And despite having only been at Rovers for just under a couple of months, the Newcastle loanee already has seven goals to his name, which have all come in his last seven games.

And the striker says things couldn't really be going any better for him and his table-topping club so far when reflecting on his stint and his two-goal haul in the win over Blackpool at the weekend.

"I feel great and have seven goals in seven games, which is alright. The main thing is the team winning," Arma said after the game.

“We started slow, but we came on in the second half and got the goals to kill them off. Brad [Dack]’s goal came at the perfect time for us. It gave us that confidence going into the second half."

His first goal - and Rovers' second - was a beauty as he superby curled first time into the top corner of Joe Lumley's net.
But the 21-year-old was modest when describing it!
“When Bradley set it back, I thought I’d hit it in the top corner and thankfully it went in the back of the net.
“We’re another step closer now. The main thing is to keep getting wins on the board."
We've nine games to go and the next one comes at Gillingham's Priestfield Stadium next Saturday. Tickets remain for the clash and you can purchase yours by clicking here
