Rovers boss Tony Mowbray says he cannot wait for the World Cup to really get into gear, with the tournament in Russia kicking off yesterday (Thursday).
The boss admits that aside from putting the final touches to his pre-season plans and speaking to possible new signings, he is looking forward to a feast of football over the next few weeks.
“Anybody who loves football is looking forward to the World Cup," the boss said. "It’s in Russia and that’s not an easy place to get to but I will be glued to the TV sets.
“I’m not sure on all the kick-off times but I’m looking forward to it and looking forward to watching it with the kids and filling in the wall charts.
"We do every four years as a family trying to guess who will come out on top and predicting the scores!"
Don't forget, the Blackburn Rovers Community Trust are having a World Cup Family Fun Day at Ewood Park on Sunday 24th June, the same day England face Panama.
