Blackburn Rovers are pleased to welcome the latest intake of first year scholars at the Academy.
Flavien Boyomo, Luke Brennan, Sam Burns, James Connolly, Jordan Eastham, Daniel Pike, Jalil Saadi, Isaac Whitehall and Chanka Zimba will all join on a full-time basis when the players return to Brockhall for pre-season training this summer.
The talented teenagers put pen-to-paper on their two-year scholarship contracts at the Academy’s annual end-of-season Induction Evening.
The new recruits were given a tour of the living and training facilities at Brockhall, before listening to presentations about what will be expected of them both on and off the pitch.
Over the next two years, the players will hope to cement their place in Billy Barr’s youth team, before making the step up to the Under-23s.
Ultimately, they will hope to follow in the footsteps of recent Academy graduates Ryan Nyambe, Lewis Travis, Scott Wharton and Willem Tomlinson, who all made their senior league debuts for the club in recent seasons.
