Rovers striker Danny Graham couldn't hide his delight after extending his stay at Ewood Park for another season at least.
The striker signed a new one-year contract to remain at Rovers for 2018-19 in the Championship, with an option for a second season.
And the 32-year-old, who played a huge part in last season's promotion with 17 goals in all competitions, couldn't hide his happiness at prolonging his stay in East Lancashire.
"I’m delighted to get the deal done," the hitman told iFollow Rovers just minutes after signing. "I said at the end of the season that I wanted the contract situation to be sorted quickly and although it took a little longer than expected, it’s done, I’m happy and really looking forward to next season.
“I’m looking forward to meeting up with the boys again in the next couple of weeks. There was never really any doubt. I had interest from other clubs but I always stated that I wanted to stay at this football club.
“Ever since I walked in here I’ve really felt at home and I have a great relationship with the fans and the boys in the dressing room."
“Ever since I walked in here I’ve really felt at home and I have a great relationship with the fans and the boys in the dressing room. It was too hard for me to walk away and I’ve never wanted that. I’ve never once stated that I wanted to leave this club."
There was interest in his services from other clubs, but Danny admits he was always keen to stay and be part of a club on the up.
"Did I have conversations with other people at other clubs? Yes I did, but I never wanted to leave," he added.
"I’m delighted it’s all done and that it’s been put to bed and now I can look forward to next season and the challenge ahead.
“I’m going to be here for another year with another year as an option so hopefully we can move forward together."
