One year ago today, Bradley Dack arrived at Rovers.
Few could have predicted the 12 months that would follow, as the attacker helped fire the club to promotion as top scorer, winning a host of awards along the way.
With Rovers preparing for another big campaign back in the Championship, we caught up with our no.23 to look back on what has been a memorable year.
“It couldn’t have gone any better," he said when asked about his move from Gillingham.
"I came here last summer to get promoted and we achieved that. Personally, I had a really good season and I hope we can kick on again this year.
“I’m raring to go now. I haven’t played in the Championship so I’m looking forward to testing myself at a higher level.
"Hopefully I can recreate my form from last year and we have the same sort of season as a team."
Dack is part of a 21-man squad taking part in Rovers' week-long training camp in Austria, and believes the trip will benefit both fitness levels and morale going into the new season.
“We’ve had two tough days here in Austria, but we know we have to work hard and get what we can out of this trip," he added.
“I think it’s no secret that this group of players is really close; we’ve got a great team spirit here and trips like these really add to that.
“It’s good to keep the players we’ve got because everyone did a great job in getting us promoted last year.
"It’s a great group and we all get on really well. I know what the gaffer is like, he wants players with a similar sort of personality and character."
