There have been plenty of players down the years who have represented both Rovers and Liverpool, including a couple of ex-Rovers bosses too.

There are currently three ex-Reds in the Rovers ranks, with Sam Hart, Lewis Travis and Okera Simmonds all previously on the books of the Merseysiders prior to arriving at Ewood Park.

Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler finished his playing days in English football here after a handful appearances, whilst another former Red in Danny Murphy did similar.

There are plenty of defenders to have played for both teams in the past, including the recently retired Stephen Warnock and Dominic Matteo. Two-time Rover Stephane Henchoz spent six years and spent part of that time in the same squad as another former player of ours in German powerhouse Markus Babbel.

Brad Friedel of course is known for being a Rovers legend inbetween the sticks and you may remember that he actually arrived at Ewood from the Reds before going on to appear more than 300 times for us.

We have a shared legend in Kenny Dalglish, who led Rovers to the Premier League title in 1994-95 and appeared more than 400 times as a player for the Merseysiders. Kenny managed the Reds both before and after his spell at Ewood.

And another ex-Liverpool man in Paul Ince has also held the reigns at Ewood Park, his stint coming 10 years ago.

How many more former Rovers and Liverpool employees can you name?...
