The season hasn't stopped for every member of the Rovers squad, with defensive duo Darragh Lenihan and Derrick Williams both hoping to play a part for their country this weekend.

The pair are currently in their homeland ahead of the Republic of Ireland's clash with the United States this weekend in Dublin.

Left back Williams is reportedly a doubt with a groin injury, after gaining his first cap against France last week in the 2-0 defeat in the Stade de France in Paris.

But Darragh is stil waiting for his first Ireland appearance and may well get the nod to start for Martin O'Neill's side in the friendly.

Both had a big part in Rovers' promotion back to the Championship with Williams a regular throughout the campaign and Lenihan returning at the start of 2018 to feature prominantly at the heart of the defence.

The clash against the States takes place at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday evening, kick-off 8pm.

Good luck, lads!
