Tony Mowbray was pleased with the performance of his Rovers squad on a warm afternoon at Lincoln City's Sincil Bank.
Rovers got back to winning ways in pre-season thanks to Joe Nuttall's header just a moment before half time in the Lincolnshire sunshine.
Mowbray's men had chances to add to their lead on a relatively comfortable afternoon against the League Two outfit, but two great stops from Josh Vickers denied Bradley Dack from notching a brace against the Imps.
And speaking afterwards, Tony was pleased to see his side come through a stern test against Danny Cowley's outfit.
“We had a lot of the ball today and had to defend a lot of set plays," the boss reflected post-match.
"Both sets of players did well today. The ones who played for an hour grew into the game and I’d say in the second half we had the vast majority of play in their half of the pitch.
