Rovers defender Scott Wharton has re-joined today's opponents Lincoln City on a season-long loan.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a successful spell with the League Two side last season, scoring twice in 14 league appearances, as the Imps booked a place in the play-offs.
Wharton, who this week signed a new long-term contract at Ewood Park, will now be given an opportunity to gain further first team experience with Danny Cowley's side during the upcoming League Two campaign.
A product of the club's Academy, Wharton has made six appearances in a Rovers shirt since making his debut against Burton Albion in the Championship in August 2016.
