Rovers are delighted to add to their growing commercial portfolio by securing Watson Ramsbottom Solicitors as our new back-of-shirt sponsor for the 2018-19 season.
The local business, who specialise in a number of legal services, will be promoted on the back of all adult home and away shirts used throughout our Championship campaign, beginning with our trip to Ipswich Town on Saturday.
The organisation’s logo will be on Rovers away shirts from Wednesday 1st August onwards and on home shirts from Monday 7th August.
Watson Ramsbottom Solicitors provide assistance in a wide variety of areas which include property, personal injury, family matters, wills, probates and much more, and have offices across the East Lancashire area, with branches in Blackburn, Darwen, Great Harwood and Accrington, where they employ over 90 local people.
Managing Director Phillip Thompson and Director Stuart Maher visited the Senior Training Centre this morning, where they met manager Tony Mowbray and the first team squad, as the players were put through their paces ahead of Saturday’s trip to Portman Road.
Mr Thompson, an avid Rovers supporter, is delighted to be linking up with the club and is hoping for a bright future together for both parties.
“We’re a high street practice and the deal represents a first for us through shirt sponsorship,” he said.
"There are plenty of Rovers fans working for us and we’re all delighted to join forces with the club. There’s an opportunity for us as we feel the club have the makings and the mentality to get back to the very top.
“It’s a club on the up and one that isn’t just settling for survival. We have an excellent manager, who, in my opinion, couldn’t do much better for the club. It’ll be a good season I’m sure and we look at it as getting involved with the club and getting out there in the community.
“We’re looking forward to developing that relationship with not just the club but also with the local area in and around the towns.”
Rovers’ Chief Executive, Steve Waggott, added: “We are delighted to welcome Watson Ramsbotton on board as a corporate partner in what is a mutually beneficial deal.
"The deal will not only generate vital commercial revenue for the club, but will also further reinforce our links within the local business community.
"As a club, engaging with local businesses is a very important aspect of our ongoing commercial strategy and we are very pleased that Watson Ramsbottom have identified the value that the club can bring to their brand by entering into what will hopefully be a long and fruitful working relationship.”
