Rovers will be in action on home soil for the first time since the start of May when Liverpool visit Ewood Park on Thursday evening.
Here's our guide to the game...
STATE OF PLAY
Following an impressive 2-0 win at Scottish side Hibernian and 1-1 draw at League Two side Port Vale so far in pre-season, our preparations for the 2018/19 Championship campaign continue this week, back at Ewood Park against Premier League opposition. Speaking on Wednesday, Tony Mowbray says he expects Liverpool to provide a "really good test" for his players, with the new season just over two weeks away. As always, we'll be in attendance, bringing you team news and live updates via social media. Fans can follow the action via our official Twitter account, with kick-off at Ewood scheduled for 7:45pm.
This week's game represents another chance for Mowbray to take another look at his squad, and the boss could well look to give game time to as many players as possible again here. Danny Graham will hope to be fit and in contention after missing the trip to Port Vale, a game which saw David Raya, Paul Downing and Dominic Samuel all return from injury. Duo Ben Gladwin (knee) and Paul Caddis (fitness) remain a doubt. Meanwhile, Liverpool could name a strong side, having played the likes of Virgil Van Dijk, Joel Matip and Naby Keita last time out. Both starting line-ups will be released an hour before kick-off on matchday.
Liverpool have also been in pre-season action ahead of Thursday's clash, beating Chester 7-0 and Tranmere 3-2 before drawing 0-0 at Bury last time out. The Merseysiders finished fourth in the top flight last term, five points above Chelsea and two below Tottenham. Their star man is, of course, attacker Mo Salah, who won the Premier League's Golden Boot in 2017/18, but Klopp has a host of talent at his disposal, with the likes of Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane among their key men.
Tickets for the game will be available on the day, via the ticket office at Ewood Park to fans who have a database booking history. We'll also be selling to Liverpool fans from 6pm onwards. Adult tickets are priced at £10, seniors and young adults at £5 and juniors at £2. For more information, please contact the Rovers ticket office on 01254 372000.
