Rovers will make the short trip to Accrington Stanley on Saturday afternoon, looking to end pre-season on a high note.

Here's our guide to the game...

Following a fantastic 3-0 win over Premier League side Everton at Ewood on Thursday, our pre-season preparations fcome to a close against neighbours Accrington Stanley this weekend. The big Championship kick-off against Ipswich is now just over a week away, and this will be the Blues' final test before a 46-game campaign back in the second tier. As always, we'll be in attendance, bringing you team news and live updates via social media. Fans can follow the action via our official Twitter account, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm on Saturday.

This weekend's game represents another chance for Tony Mowbray to take another look at his squad, and the boss could well look to give game time to as many players as possible again here. There are no fresh injury concerns ahead of the match, but many senior players played 90 minutes in midweek, meaning this may be an opportunity for some of our youngsters. Meanwhile, duo Sam Hart and Ben Gladwin remain doubtful through injury. Paul Caddis could make a return, however, having featured in the Under-23s' 5-0 win at AFC Darwen on Tuesday night. Both starting line-ups will be released an hour before kick-off on matchday.

Stanley have also been in pre-season action ahead of Saturday's clash, and recorded an impressive 4-3 win against Championship outfit Middlesbrough last weekend. They have also beaten Huddersfield Town and Hyde United, but drew with Southport last time out. John Coleman's side finished top of League Two last term, winning promotion to the third tier for the first time in their history with a total of 93 points from their 46 games. Rovers and Stanley have only ever played three competitive matches, the last of which came in 1937 and ended in a 3-1 win for the Reds.

Tickets for the game are still available, and can be purhcased on the day, via the ticket office at Ewood Park up until 3pm, or at Accrington Stanley. Adult tickets are priced at £10, seniors and students at £5 and under-18s at £2. For more information, please contact the ticket office on 01254 372000.
