Blackburn Rovers will celebrate its diverse community at the first ever #OneRovers Festival, which will be held Ewood Park this weekend.
The summer spectacular takes place this Saturday, kicking-off at 1pm and culminating in a live stage performance from BBC Music Ambassador 2017, Zack Knight, at 6.30pm.
The acclaimed singer-songwriter will headline the event, but will be supported by other acts on stage during the day.
There will also be a host of international food stalls, a fashion show, fairground rides, face-painting and henna designs, as well as a strong sporting theme, with stadium tours and football activities available throughout the afternoon. Rovers Academy staff will also be on hand to host some coaching clinics.
It promises to be a fun-filled day for all the family.
Following the successful #OneRovers Day – aimed at promoting inclusion, valuing diversity and ending discrimination – back in January, this will be the first high-profile event held by Rovers since it was named the EFL Family Club of the Year at the 2018 EFL Awards in London in April.
Speaking about the festival, Rovers’ general manager, Lynsey Talbot, said: "The club recognise that we have a significant role to play in bringing the community together.
"We have made great strides in celebrating diversity through the power of football and under the #OneRovers banner.
"The festival will be a multi-cultural event and will reinforce our position at the heart of the community.”
