Tony Mowbray insists he won't take any risks with players carrying slight knocks throughout pre-season.

Danny Graham missed Saturday's game against Port Vale with a sore knee, but the Rovers boss hopes the striker could be available for Thursday's visit of Liverpool to Ewood Park.

"I hope so," said the manager. "We won't be taking any risks through pre-season.

"Danny is generally doing one session per day at the moment, but there was no need to take any risks to play him in a game that he didn't need to play in.

"He's getting plenty of physical activity at the training ground and let's see whether he's ready for Thursday."

Rovers were also without several other players for the trip to Vale Park and Mowbray added: "Jayson Leutwiler has got a sore groin, Sam Hart has got a slight thigh strain, Ben Gladwin has got an issue with his knee and Paul Caddis is unavailable at the moment for fitness reasons."

Tickets for Thursday's glamour friendly against Liverpool, which are priced at just £10 for adults, £5 for concessions and £2 for juniors, are available online at www.eticketing.co.uk/onerovers, over the phone on 01254 372000 or from the Roverstore at Ewood Park.
