Rovers Under-23s can return to the top of the Premier League 2 table with victory over Norwich City this evening.
The young Blues currently sit fifth in the standings but have a number of games in hand on the sides above them, with 25 points from their 12 games so far in 2017/18.
Last time out, Damien Johnson's side played out an entertaining 3-3 draw at high-flying Middlesbrough, while Norwich won a seven-goal thriller against Newcastle.
The sides couldn't be separated during September's reverse fixture, when Joe Nuttall gave Rovers an early lead before Tristan Abrahams hit back for the Canaries.
With the first team in action against Northampton tomorrow, it's unlikely that any senior regulars will be involved.
The likes of Lewis Travis and Scott Wharton could feature against Norwich, and Tony Mowbray confirmed on Thursday that Darragh Lenihan will be given a run out with the U23s soon.
The game will take place at Lancashire FA HQ in Leyland, with kick-off scheduled for 7pm.
