After his match-winning moment at Fleetwood at the weekend, Richie Smallwood was all smiles, but he was quick to praise the influence of his central midfield partner.
Since the energetic performance from Smallwood and Elliott Bennett at the heart of the Rovers midfield against Shrewsbury just over a week ago, boss Tony Mowbray opted for the same duo for the trip to Fleetwood.
It was the first time all season that Mowbray had decided to stick with a winning team and it's now two games and two wins for the Smallwood-Bennett partnership.
And Richie reflected that he's loving playing with the ex-Norwich man in the middle of the park.
"Benno plays similar to me but with a bit more speed really. It's nice to have a partner in there like that," the King of Ewood told reporters after the game at Highbury Stadium.
"I know the other like Corry and Peter can do similar, but Benno has adjusted to a new position really well and long may that continue.
"Me and Benno have put in good performances and although I require one more yellow for a two-match ban, I'm not really bothered about it to be honest.
"I think if it was at the back of my mind then you'd get a different player and it's not really like me either.
"If the suspension comes then it comes. If I need to make a late foul to stop a counter than I'm certainly prepared to do it.
"If that wasn't the case then I'm probably not worthy to wear the Blackburn Rovers shirt," the number 6 concluded.
