Things are bubbling away nicely for Rovers on the pitch, but similar was happening off it when Paul Downing paid a visit to Pleckgate High School on Thursday afternoon.
Downing was at the premises to launch the Bubble Rush event, which is set to take place in early May, with all funds being raised for the East Lancashire Hospice.
Bubble Rush is coming to Blackburn and is a fun run with a difference - it features lots and lots of coloured bubbles.
It’s a 5km course, with starts in a sea of bubbles and features four Bubble Stations along the route, with cannons pumping out coloured foam to create a 4ft bubble bath.
Participants can run, jog, walk, dance of toddle through the foam and pushchairs and wheelchairs are more than welcome.
The first 200 people to register online will receive 50% off the adult price of £20, making early bird registration £10 for adults and only £4 for children.
And Downing admitted it was a new experience for him to be part of.
“It was certainly a unique experience,” Paul joked.
“It’s not something I’ve heard about before, but the kids certainly enjoyed themselves in the foam and it’s for a fantastic, local cause.
“You have to get yourselves involved and I ended up getting soaked and covered in foam, but it was a pretty good laugh in the end!"
The run takes place on Sunday 6th May. For more information, please click here.
