Rovers boss Tony Mowbray says the club will have to wait to find out the extent of Charlie Mulgrew's injury, after the skipper limped off against Northampton.
The Scotsman was forced off just 15 minutes into Saturday's 1-1 draw at Ewood Park after appearing to land awkwardly on his ankle.
After the game, Mowbray was asked to provide an update on his captain, saying: “I don’t know yet, to be honest.
"He’ll go for a scan; I think it’s his ankle but we’ll wait and see. We’re disappointed because he’s been fantastic for us this season.
"Charlie has been a real leader and star in the team. We’ll see what the damage is."
Rovers will hope to have Mulgrew fit for the visit of Walsall on Tuesday evening. We will provide further updates as we get them via rovers.co.uk and our official social media channels.
