One of Rovers' finest goals of last year came via the foot of Danny Graham in the FA Cup against Manchester United and the striker is eager for similar this Saturday.
One of Graham's former sides cross the country as Hull head to Ewood Park this Saturday, allowing Rovers to take their eye of League One for one weekend.
And the striker, who has been finding the back of the net with regular occurance in the last month, is looking forward to taking on some old pals.
"I had an enjoyable time at Hull even if it didn't quite work out on the playing side of things," Danny admitted.
"It's a good club full of good people in a good city. I really enjoyed my time there and still have friends remaining at the club.
"Hull are a big club that's full of good players. It will be nice to put a rest to the league and focuse on the cup competition after a hectic league schedule in recent weeks.
"Alan McGregor is still there, as is David Meyler and a lot of the physio staff as well, so it will be good to catch up with them."
So does the striker believe the FA Cup still holds the same old magic?
"The FA Cup is special, there's no doubt about that," he said.
"Everyone wants to play in the competition growing up. If we can win then we can get a glamour tie just as we did last year against Manchester United.
"We'll look to give a good account of ourselves against a Championship side and look to get through to the next round."
