Danny never wanted Charlie to pay the penalty

There was no chance the striker was going to wrestle the ball off the skipper

A striker in form and full of confidence, but there was no way striker Danny Graham was going to force captain Charlie Mulgrew off penalty duties!

Graham had already scored in the match just seven minutes earlier, but with Mulgrew being so deadly from the spot this term, the Scot was always going to be the taker.

And that's just fine with Graham - just as long as his team-mate sticks it away.

“I didn’t think the ref was going to give it to be honest," the striker confessed to iFollow Rovers after the game.

"He seemed to wait for ages to point to the spot. I think the linesman gave it in the end. Charlie stepped up and was as cool as ever.

"That’s 11 for him now which is great. There’s goals around the team, everyone is scoring and everyone’s happy.

“I couldn’t take the penalty, not when he’s scored the last three. He’s full of confidence and playing so well, that goes for him and Paul [Downing] at the back.
