Elliott Bennett finally ended his goal drought, but he's only celebrating a win and not his maiden strike of the season.
Bennett's belter added a second goal at a crucial time for Rovers at the Cherry Red Records Stadium on Tuesday night, sandwiching Bradley Dack's double.
But instead of beaming about finding the net for the first time this season, Benno says the result is the most important thing from a chilly night in south London.
“It’s a tough place to come. It was brilliant and just what we needed," the versatile midfielder said. "We produced a real professional job and we’re delighted to get the three points.
“I’ve said it all season and people probably think I’m lying, but how the team do is more important to me. It’s always nice to chip in and help the team, but we’ve got lads who have been scoring for fun.
“Danny [Graham], Dacky [Bradley Dack] and Charlie [Mulgrew] have been unbelievable for us. It’s nice to chip in but it’s more important to get the three points."
It was a real team performance in the freezing cold, and Benno was quick to praise everyone involved, adding that it's "fantastic to be a part of."
“When the team wins, everyone wins," he adds. "It’s not just about the 11 players, those who didn’t get on tonight won as well. Everyone involved with Blackburn Rovers wins, the fans win and we all win together and lose together.
“It’s fantastic to be a part of what we’re doing and we’ve not got a massive 11 games to go. I don’t think about going four points clear to be honest. I think about getting a win at a tight ground, a tough place to come, winning 3-0 and getting the three points."
