Monday night’s game under the floodlights at Ewood Park against Bury has been dedicated as the seasonal #NCSMatchday.

The NCS team at Ewood Park will be on hand to provide information about the programme, which is an important part of the work undertaken at Blackburn Rovers Community Trust.

Nationwide, more than 300,000 young people have participated on NCS so far and that number is continuing to grow.

NCS has proven to be a valuable tool for young people to build their confidence and gain social skills for the next steps in life. The statistics have shown that seven out of ten graduates feel more confident about finding a job and eight out of ten have kept in contact with people they have met on NCS.

The Blackburn Rovers NCS summer schedule for 2018 is one that will bring thrills, excitement and the opportunity to learn new skills. The question now remains, what is on the agenda?

Week One - Monday 16th - Friday 20th July Adventure - Culmington Manor, Shropshire

Week Two – Monday 23rd – Friday 27th July Discovery – University of Cumbria, Lancaster

Week Three – Monday 30th July – Friday 3rd August Social Action Planning – Ewood Park, Blackburn

Week Four – Monday 6th – Friday 10th August Social Action Delivery – Ewood Park, Blackburn

Week Five – Monday 13th August Celebration – Ewood Park, Blackburn

Also in attendance for Monday night’s game against Bury will be the Trust’s NCS Youth Board, made up of past graduates from the programme at Blackburn Rovers. Keep an eye out for them, as they will be talking about their NCS experiences in locations such as Strikers’ Lounge and the Foster’s FanZone.

The first team squad will show their support by donning NCS branded t-shirts during their warm-up including star midfielder Bradley Dack, who is sponsored by Blackburn Rovers Community Trust.

Meanwhile, 17-year-old singer Emily Diffin, a 2017 NCS graduate, will be performing on the Foster’s FanZone so keep a look out for her!
