David Raya is a happy man and it's obvious to see why after the last Rovers outing against Bury for the Spanish stopper.
Three key goals were ticked off in the victory against the Shakers, as Raya racked up his 50th appearance for the club since graduating from the club's Academy, the team won and the custodian kept his first clean sheet of the year.
And the Spaniard admitted it was the perfect night for him due to a number of reasons, but says he didn't even know he'd reached the milestone.
“It’s always good playing football for the club that gave me the chance," he said. "To appear 50 times for Rovers is nice so now it’s important to carry on and get the 100th soon enough.
"I never realised it was my 50th game, to be honest. It’s come quickly. Beforehand I was never a main number one until this season. The season came around quick, I got myself the shirt and I've kept my place."
Rarely tested in the win against Bury, which sent the team top of the table in League One, Raya has certainly played his part in Rovers reaching the summit.
But there was also another pleasing factor in the victory against the Shakers on the night - a first clean sheet in 2018.
“The main thing is the three points, to get the result," the 22-year-old added. "It’s nice to get back to getting the clean sheets though as we hadn’t had one since Boxing Day.
“The results come first, if you get a clean sheet then everyone’s happy with it."
